I have served many terms on the Ngāti Kuia Charitable Trust. I am on the Ngāti Kuiatanga Pou and also a member of the Ngāti Kuia Grants Komiti. I am also on Te Hora Marae Komiti where I am Kaitiaki Kuia, a role I have filled for many years.
My passion has always been for our people. The ‘hands-on’ support I am able to extend to our people, on our Tūrangawaewae, is a privilege and an honor!
I have been retired for 5 years from the workforce. During my working years, I was a maternity nurse, catering assistant, worked at the freezing works, a social worker, and a shellfish opener and processor.
My husband Tom and I are fortunate enough to live on our Tūrangawaewae in Canvastown. We have 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Ngā mihi
